Opportunity:

Wardrobe Packing

Description

At Dressed for School, we provide new clothing and shoes at no cost to Porter County students from financially insecure or in-crisis families in a supportive store-like environment.  Volunteers will pack curated clothing bundles for Porter County students.

More about our Wardrobe Program: Qualifying students shop in our store in the fall and spring during distribution periods. Due to construction and relocation within VALE, Dressed for School is unable to host students into the store for in-person shopping this spring.  Instead, families in need will be to requesting clothing via an electronic form.  Volunteers will help fulfill clothing requests by selecting items that match requests and packing bundles for delivery or pickup.

All volunteer slots are available for viewing and scheduling directly on our Volunteer Calendar: https://www.dressedforschool.org/take-action#Volunteer

Because we are associated with area schools and are committed to student safety, all volunteers must submit completed Background Check, Confidentiality and Bullying Policy forms: https://www.dressedforschool.org/take-action#VolunteerDocumentationNeeded
