Opportunity:

Volunteer Shopper | Student Support

Description

At Dressed for School, we provide new clothing and shoes at no cost to Porter County students from financially insecure or in-crisis families in a supportive store-like environment.

Volunteer Shoppers assist students by helping them select appropriate clothing and shoes to complete a wardrobe during a scheduled shopping trip. Volunteers are critical to a student's positive shopping experience by being their biggest cheerleader and ensuring each student feels seen, heard and valued.

Student shopping trips occur during fall (Sep-Nov) and spring (April-May) distribution periods by appointment or school bus trips.

All volunteer slots are available for viewing and scheduling directly on our Volunteer Calendar: https://www.dressedforschool.org/take-action#Volunteer

Because we are associated with area schools and are committed to student safety, all volunteers must submit completed Background Check, Confidentiality and Bullying Policy forms: https://www.dressedforschool.org/take-action#VolunteerDocumentationNeeded
