Chesterton Art Center 67th Art Fair

Description

The success of our annual Art Fair is reliant upon our wonderful volunteers who generously offer their time and energy to support our mission. We are grateful for all our past, present, and future volunteers who help us continue to build a creative community that includes everyone.


We have 3 days of volunteer opportunities,

Friday - July 31, 2026 / 7 AM - 3 PM
1. Assist offloading supplies and equipment from CAC truck and staging into the correct areas
2. Artists will be traveling into the art fair and will need assistance offloading their vehicles to prepare their booth.

Saturday - August 1, 2026 / 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
1. Provide assistance to artists (run water & booth watch), volunteers, and visitors.
2. Keep area clear of garbage

Sunday - August 2, 2026 / 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
1. Provide assistance to artists (run water & booth watch), volunteers, and visitors.
2. Keep area clear of garbage
3. Assist gathering all CAC items, load into truck, assist offloading back into CAC building
4. Assist artists to break down booths at end of event


Chesterton Art Fair is a premier juried art festival with a deep history of providing a stellar experience for both participating artists and visitors. Chesterton Art Fair draws artists and patrons from all over the Midwest and beyond. The Fair features 80+ artists, live music, family activities, food vendors and free parking for our almost four thousand visitors.

Always the first full weekend in August, the next event will be August 1 and 2, 2026, and fair hours are 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, and 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday. Chesterton Art Fair is held in beautiful Dogwood Park, a municipal park with plenty of shade trees and amenities. The Fair is accessible to all, and handicap parking is available.
