Childcare Volunteer

Description

Provide mothers as well as Children’s Department staff with assistance in childcare to promote opportunities to work toward goals and attend group sessions. Group is on Monday and Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor children during group/shelter hours
- Plan and lead age-appropriate, trauma-informed activities.
- Ensure safety and respectful behavior between children.
- Offering emotional support.
- Working closely with advocates and Mom so everyone stays informed of the child’s needs.
- Maintaining a clean, child-safe environment (sanitize toys, secure furniture, check supplies).
